Great good and great price for a buffet. I usually don't like buffets however the quality of the food is better than that of a normal sit down Chineese restaurant.

I really like this buffet. One of the best around in my opinion. Are there better ones in the world? Most likely, but this is a great solid choice. Something for everyone.

It's a pretty decent buffet. Not huge but had a good variety. I appreciated the food being so hot, fresh and constantly replenished. The staff was very friend and accommodating. We wouldn't make a special trip to eat here again but would certainly go, if in the area.

This has been my favorite restaurant for years now. It has the freshest meals around. They have such a good patronage that the food is constantly being refreshed. Out of at least 100 times that I have taken people there, I have never had one issue. In fact, I am heading there right now. I hate to eat alone but I never pass up a chance if I am in Imlay City.

Great food good service and didn't give me food poisoning like Chans in port Huron which made me puke all over the table and in the bathroom but worst of all they yelled at me when I stop puking, they yelled at me

We went for Lunch on two different Saturdays and the food was fresh and very tasty. Friendly wait staff. We will definitely be back

Review #467 March 29, 2024 - Friday This dine in with table menu, Carry-out and Buffet establishment is so worth the hour drive for Me or others to stop in for a hunger AYCE feast = $14.99. When I'm in the areas of Almont or Imlay City I'll be back. They also have a special menu of Buffet items for to go. Delicious Szechuan, Cantonese, Hunan Food Cuisine. I have dined here three times with family on a Sunday this year of 2024, even though I only checked in on Yelp once. ( Too busy eating) My Niece and her family live in Almont which is close for them to dine here on a weekly basis. So after watching my great nephew play basketball in Almont or Imlay City down the road everyone was hungry at 3pm which was the perfect time and not too busy at New China Buffet. I enjoyed the Wonton and Egg Drop Soups, Crab Rangoon, Sesame Chicken, Five Season Chicken, Beef & Broccoli, Stir-Fry Vegetables, Lobster chunks, Popcorn Shrimp, Fried Rice were My favorites! :-) The Manager and other staff members are very efficient to check temperature on food trays at the buffet and keep the popular items full too when a tad low so they buzz around to fill in a tray with curtosey. The atmosphere is wonderful in the dining room with Oriental music playing. In the back room for larger groups is where we all sat the three times. The Buffet price does not include beverage and under 10 years of age is a different food price. The Setting are tables and booths with speedy servers cleaning up quick and filling up waters, or beverages with a friendly smile. The foods and tastes are overwhelming with a variety of seafood, meats, vegetables, pastas, noodles, rice, Lo Mein, Chow Mein, Chop Suey, Fired or White Rice, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Sweet & Sour Dishes, Egg Foo Young, Special Combination Plates, Sushi, Many Sides, plus Vegetable & Bean Curd. The Buffet has steamed Fish, Bbq Ribs that are tasty. There are many "Stuffed" buffet food items such as stuffed mussels, stuffed crabmeat, stuffed mushrooms that I can remember that I ate. Then a 3rd or 4th helping can be cold salads, puddings, Jello, and fluffy mousse creations. Lastly the Desserts are specially made so SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT. OMG Kiddos & Adults too lol can enjoy the soft-serve Ice-Cream Machine located in the back of the Buffet area plus You can add your own toppings to complete one's Sweet Tooth Explosion! I will absolutely be back to this establishment! No photos though, went on a Saturday night. Wasn't too busy but pretty decent large groups. The place was super clean and the staff was nice and explained how it's a buffet. Honestly the buffet was better than most Chinese places I try; dine in or carry out. It's very hard to find a decent Chinese place but I will make the drive to imlay city every time. Best tasting food I've had they even have the little rice balls with red bean paste which is my favorite. The food was in smaller portions out on the buffet which I think makes it much better cause they stock it faster too. There was never a time any food was missing. Will absolutely be back and with friends.
